MTV Arabia is coming to TV sets inside the Arabian desert. They want t build MTV around hip-hop, the channel will be hosted by a Saudi and Palestinian man. Yet no one should expect MTV Arabia to be anything like the MTV of America. Abdullatif Al- Sayegy, CEO Arab Media Group says " rap about family, about your country, your school, your work, your colleges, your mom, or dad."
40% of all material will be made locally in Saudi Arabia...including a Saudi version of "Made."
This might be one small step for free speech in the Middle East...
